Fundraising
The Trust has a target of £9.2million to complete all elements of the project including the Armed Forces Memorial in Staffordshire, Rolls of Honour and a Memorial in Westminster Abbey, and for an endowment fund for their future maintenance and upkeep.

Fundraising progress
Almost £6.8million has been raised or pledged since the launch of the appeal in April 2005, which leaves £2.5million still to be raised. The Trust was granted a total of £2,416,500 from the Millennium Commission before it was wound up in November last year. There have been several very substantial donations received over the duration of the project as well as widespread support from the public, most notably from the readers of The Sun and the Daily Mail.
